We all do it…vow and preach that we’re going to work out hard and eat healthy starting January 1!  Momentum is high in the beginning, but unfortunately tends to fade after a month or so.  Here are some tips to help prevent the February fizzle.  My top 3 tips: (1) Have realistic and long-term goals.  Don’t look for the “quick fix”, and know that reaching these types of goals take time.  Wouldn’t we all like to look like Heidi Klum or Tyson Bedford in four weeks time?  Not gonna happen! (2)  Hire a personal trainer.  I know that having a trainer is considered a luxery. If your budget is limited, try hiring a personal trainer for 1 session per week to give you motivation, education, nutrition tips, and commitment to your workout.  (3) Have Fun! Do activities that you enjoy such as hiking, running, taking a group fitness class, or dancing.  Make sure that working out doesn’t always feel like a chore. Most importantly…KEEP MOVING!-Elizabeth CPT.
