Supplements + Athletes = Health Risk?

Nutritional supplements, or ergogenic aids, claiming to increase endurance, strength and overall performance are tempting to athletes, especially adolescent athletes. Instead of improving performance, these supplements may inhibit it, and even result in health problems, especially when taken in excessive amounts.
