To begin managing diabetes it’s important to start off simple. The plate method is an easy way to control the amount of carbohydrates eaten in a meal. It involves dividing a dinner plate into three sections. One section is for non-starchy vegetables, one for starchy foods and one for meat or meat substitutes.
