The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently released the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, and GoTrybe.com is announcing its support. GoTrybe has joined the HHS in encouraging Americans to provide physical activity opportunities for children in classrooms, youth organizations and homes across the country.

Children benefit from an hour or more of physical activity a day, according to the new Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. Reinforcing the guidelines’ recommendations, the GoTrybe program has been implemented for children in schools, youth organizations and homes across Tennessee and Indiana and a growing number of states over the past year and a half.

“Through the use of GoTrybe.com we encourage daily physical activity in schools, youth organizations and at home,” says Christopher J. Downs, M.D., F.A.C.C. and GoTrybe Founder. “We support the Physical Activity Guidelines because we understand that kids and adults everywhere need to be healthy. Daily physical activity is important and by using interactive tools such as GoTrybe.com, youth can get their daily moderate to vigorous physical activity and have a lot of fun being healthy.”
